📚 Queer Silent Book Club – Twin Cities Chapter
🗓 Every 3rd Wednesday | 🕕 6:00 PM
📍 Umbra Gallery Café
Craving quiet community? Join us for a low-key evening of silent reading in a queer- and trans-affirming space. Bring your current read—fiction, memoir, zine, spellbook, whatever—and settle in with fellow book lovers for an hour of cozy collective silence.
We’ll kick things off with brief intros, then dive into our books. Afterward, stick around (if you’d like!) to share thoughts, feelings, or just vibes about what you read.
All people, all genders, all sexualities, and all books are welcome. ✨
Hot & cold drinks + tasty snacks available at the Umbra Café.
Come as you are, read what you love, and feel seen—quietly.
🎨 Glow & Tell: Artist Demos + Creative Jam
🗓 Third Sunday of Every Month | 🕑 2–3:30 PM
📍 Umbra Gallery | 🎟 $30
Think “Show & Tell,” but make it queer, collaborative, and covered in paint. Each month, one of our Umbra collective artists takes the stage to share their process, set the vibe, and guide you through a scene crafted in their signature medium—be it dreamy watercolors, bold acrylics, or digital magic.
You’ll get a live demo + a peek into their creative world, followed by open studio time where you bring your tools (pencil, tablet, gouache, glitter—go wild) and create your own response to the scene. Learn a little, play a lot, and vibe with fellow makers in a low-pressure, high-creativity space.
